Shop NowPayment Process
Simply add any LS Adaptive products to your cart (all items are HSA/FSA-eligible). At checkout, select "TrueMed | Pay with HSA/FSA" as your payment option, enter your HSA or FSA debit card information, and complete your purchase. It's that easy!
As HSA and FSA cards are debit cards, the most common reason for decline is a lack of funds. Please check your account balance or contact your HSA/FSA administrator to confirm available funds before attempting again.
The next most likely reason is that your HSA/FSA administrator may have very strict rules about what items the card can be used for. This does not mean that your purchase is not reimbursable; rather, you will need to use another form of payment and apply for reimbursement using your itemized receipt and TrueMed's Letter of Medical Necessity (LoMN).
No problem! Select "TrueMed | Pay with HSA/FSA" at checkout and enter any credit or debit card. TrueMed will email you an itemized receipt that you can submit to your HSA or FSA provider for reimbursement.
Currently, only one HSA or FSA card can be used per transaction. If you have insufficient funds, you can pay with a regular credit or debit card and use the receipt from TrueMed to request reimbursement for the balance from your HSA/FSA provider.
Account Basics
Health savings accounts (HSAs) and flexible spending accounts (FSAs) are programs that allow you to save pre-tax money for qualified healthcare expenses. If you are unsure whether you have an HSA or FSA account, please contact your employer or insurance provider.
HSA/FSA accounts were established so that individuals could use pre-tax funds to pay for expenses related to the treatment, mitigation, or prevention of a diagnosed medical condition. Because HSA/FSAs use pre-tax money, you get more bang for your buck. Rather than paying income taxes and then spending it on health care, qualified customers can use pre-tax funds to invest in their health.
Yes, sales tax is included as part of the covered expense when you purchase LS Adaptive's HSA/FSA-eligible products.
HSA/FSA funds can only be used for the account holder's qualifying medical expenses. Please check with your HSA or FSA provider for specific eligibility requirements.
TrueMed Partnership
LS Adaptive has partnered with TrueMed to make it easy for you to use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for all LS Adaptive products. All of our adaptive clothing is HSA and FSA-eligible, so you can use pre-tax dollars for your purchase and save up to 30–40%, depending on your tax bracket.
Eligibility & Requirements
All LS Adaptive apparel is designed to address mobility, dexterity, and daily living challenges. Our adaptive clothing uses innovative fasteners and thoughtful construction to make dressing easier for people with physical or cognitive disabilities, arthritis, or age-related issues. Getting dressed is a valid activity of daily living (ADL).
Our apparel does more than just look good; it restores autonomy, conserves energy, and reduces caregiver strain. LS Adaptive clothing is HSA/FSA eligible because it is intended to improve the quality of life for people with medical and functional limitations, making it a covered medical expense under IRS regulations.
Items that support ADLs are eligible for a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) if they are medically necessary for the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of a specific disease or illness. Because apparel is an item that could be considered useful for general well-being, you may need a letter of medical necessity (LoMN).
Depending on your situation, you may need to obtain a letter of medical necessity (LoMN). Selecting the TrueMed payment option at checkout will walk you through the process to obtain a LoMN. This letter will explicitly state the diagnosis and explain why the expense is medically necessary.
Documentation & Support
Typically, it takes 2-5 hours. You will receive an email from TrueMed indicating that access to your LoMN is available on their secure server. For security and privacy reasons, LS Adaptive does not have access to the private health information of its customers. If it has been more than 48 hours since you completed your health survey and you have seen an LoMN in your TrueMed account, email [email protected] and they will assist you in locating the support documents you need.
Please check your spam or junk folder, as emails from TrueMed may be filtered. If you still can't find it, contact TrueMed support at [email protected] and provide the email address associated with your order.
Troubleshooting
